Was on the train on my way home from school that day. It was peak hour, everyone was on their way back to home sweet home. As usual, i was standing by the door, listening to my ipod and waiting. I cant help it but to overhear the conversation of 2 uncle. The train just reached jurong east and one of them, the one with specs said. wah lao, le kua. lai liao. buay hu liao la.(means: wah lao, u see. its here, cant make it in time liao la). The shorter one said : eh eh, got eh sia.(means: can can, still can make it). Slowly they squeeze to the front of the door. As the door slide open, they immediately ran over to the middle platfrom. I was surprised. They were by no means going to be late as the train in the middle platform just arrived. As i continue watching them, they slowly and somehow squeeze to the front of the crowd waiting to get into the incoming train. Amazing, they must be veteran at what they are doing. As the train door opens, they somehow again, amazingly managed to squeeze past the outflowing crowd of passengers. Like snakes slithering into the train. Looking on from the side window, the one with specs ran towards the seat like they were worth a few million pounds and sat his ass on it, staking his claim on the seat. Then immediately, he put his hand at the seat beside him. "Booking" the place for his slightly slower friend.
hahah.. i was "impressed".
and for this, i am quite sure it will take at least a couple of century before there could be a gracious society.
