A new champion of Europe was crowned yesterday not after going thru the full 90mins, 2 half of extra time and penalties. It must be sweet for their fans. The Manchester United fans. After a long wait, they are finally get their hands back on the Europe's most coveted cup. Not only did fans gain wonderful memories, they certainly gain bragging rights. As long as their are soccer fans supporting different clubs, bragging rights are like a must have.


Its funny what i observed a few hours after Man U were crowned the champions. I noticed a substantial increase in the number of people wearing Man U related clothes and Jerseys. Regardless of their age, regardless of how vintage their jerseys were, they seem happy just to put on something with the word Manchester United on. How practical they are. It was really interesting. I never noticed so many fans wearing the Man U Jersey a few months ago. Well, given the increase in Man U jerseys sightings. I believe the bosses all over Singapore will be surprise to see an increase in the number of employees reporting in sick and i believe a high percentage of those reporting in sick are labelled under Chelsea fans. The way their team lost the game was cruel. Penalties are the most lousy way of defining a champion and its always down the luck. Sadly, Chelsea lack that little bit of luck. Maybe like Sir Alex said, its all fate.
